CorrLinks Phone Number: Is There One?
Updated October 2026
No — CorrLinks isn’t a phone or text-message system, so there’s no CorrLinks phone number you can call or text to reach an inmate. CorrLinks/TRULINCS messaging is email-style, and inmates read it on computer terminals inside the facility, not on a phone.

What people usually mean by “CorrLinks phone number”
A number to text or call my inmate
CorrLinks doesn’t have one, because it isn’t a phone system. Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities generally don’t allow inmates to carry personal cell phones (see bop.govfor current BOP policy), so there’s no personal number to save the way you would for a friend on the outside. What you can do is text through a service that connects to the system inmates actually use for messaging — which is what ContactMeAsap does.
A phone number for official CorrLinks account help
That’s a question for CorrLinks and the Bureau of Prisons, not for us — ContactMeAsap is independent and doesn’t operate CorrLinks. We’d rather not guess at a number and risk sending you to the wrong place. The Bureau publishes facility contact information and policy at bop.gov.
The number you text with ContactMeAsap
We give you an ordinary phone number to text from your own phone. After you add funds and your payment is approved, you’ll get instructions by text and email covering exactly how to get texting up and running. On your inmate’s side, we provide an easy-to-remember email address that’s entered into their TRULINCS account, and they “text approve” you as a contact.
A number for ContactMeAsap support
Text 734-215-7002any time — that line is staffed 24/7. If your issue needs a phone conversation, request an escalation code by text first, then call 763-501-9376. Every way to reach us is listed on our contact page.
Why isn’t there a CorrLinks phone number?
TRULINCS is built for inmates to use at terminals inside the facility, not for families to text into from outside the way you would a friend’s cell number. Texting an inmate is really a relay: a service like ContactMeAsap gives you an ordinary phone number to text, and delivers those messages into your inmate’s TRULINCS account on the other end. Replies come back to you as normal text messages. The full walkthrough is in CorrLinks text messaging.
Before you text
- Your inmate has to add you to their approved contact list before messages go through. Exact limits and review timelines can vary by facility.
- Federal institutions may monitor or restrict inmate communications, and availability can vary by facility.
- ContactMeAsap serves the federal system. State prisons and county jails typically use their own separate inmate communication platforms, so check with the facility if your loved one isn’t in federal custody.
- Messages aren’t instant or guaranteed — see how long CorrLinks messages take.
