How pay-as-you-go billing works
- Add funds to your balance when you choose. Your balance is yours until you use it.
- Each plan’s monthly service fee — $20 for Basic, $30 for Premium — is drawn from that balance.
- We send you a notice when your balance is low, so you know when it’s time to add funds.
- If your inmate is released or no longer needs the service, simply don’t make another payment.
- Payments are made online; phone payments aren’t accepted at this time.

Support and reliability
Every plan includes support: email support on the Basic Federal Plan, and 24/7 federal inmate support with priority CorrLinks processing on the Premium Federal Plan. Support starts with a helpdesk ticket system and can be escalated to phone support for more tailored help. Ways to reach us are listed on our contact page.
Behind the scenes, a staff of programmers and network engineers monitors the network day and night to keep service running. Delivery runs through agreements with telephone companies such as T-Mobile, AT&T and Verizon, set up for high-volume messaging so you don’t wait on queued messages.
What to know before you start
- Your inmate approves you.BOP regulations require inmates to add the people they message to an approved contact list. Once your setup is done, this “text approve” step takes them just moments.
- The BOP sets the rules. Federal institutions may monitor or restrict inmate communications, and availability can vary by facility.
- Coverage.US & Canada CorrLinks integration on Basic, with Puerto Rico & Central/South America added on Premium.
- We’re independent. ContactMeAsap is not affiliated with the BOP or CorrLinks/TRULINCS. You can search for a federal inmatefor free to confirm who you’re texting before you pay.
